Magic Stacks

Magic Stacks

Magic Stacks takes a familiar reveal-and-collect formula and gives it enough moving parts to stay interesting: portals, cauldrons, a multiplier pool, a treasure-chest collector and a reel-wide transform. The 96.63% RTP is published and the volatility is honestly labelled high. The catch is the split ceiling - 10,000x in normal play, 20,000x only through enhanced modes or a bonus buy - and the lack of published buy prices.

Magic Stacks drops you into a wizard's grotto and asks the same question on every spin: what is behind the portal? This Massive Studios release is a 5-reel, 6-row slot with 50 fixed paylines, and most of its action comes from Magic Portal symbols that open into paying symbols, wild frogs or cauldrons. The cauldrons are where the coin prizes, the multipliers and the collector live.

It is also the busiest Massive Studios title at the moment. Juice's own games page listed $11.06M wagered across 5.7M bets over the 30 days to mid-October 2026, the highest figure of any Massive Studios game on that list.

Magic Stacks at a glance
Magic Stacks is a high-volatility 5x6 slot with 50 fixed paylines and a published RTP of 96.63%. Magic Portals reveal paying symbols, frog wilds or cauldrons. Cauldrons pay instant coin prizes worth 1x to 5,000x the bet, and purple multipliers from 2x to 10x are collected and applied to every coin at the end. The top prize is 10,000x in normal play and 20,000x with the enhanced modes or a bonus buy.

Theme and design

The setting is an enchanted grotto: crystal caves, waterfalls, and the tools of a working wizard. The symbol set is built from an owl, a pointed hat, potion bottles and bubbling cauldrons, and the wild is a frog, which sets a storybook tone rather than a dark one. The special symbols - portals, purple multipliers, a treasure chest and a blue crystal staff - each have a distinct look.

How Magic Stacks plays

The grid is 5 reels by 6 rows, and wins pay left to right across 50 fixed paylines. Six rows give the lines a lot of room, which matters because Magic Portal symbols can cover large parts of a reel. When portals land they open, and each one reveals one of three outcomes: a regular paying symbol, a wild frog, or a cauldron.

Portals that become symbols or wilds feed the paylines. Portals that become cauldrons start the coin-and-multiplier system described below.

Features in Magic Stacks

Magic Portals

Portals are the engine of the base game. Each one opens into a paying symbol, a wild frog or a cauldron, so every portal on screen is a small reveal of its own.

Frog wild

The frog is the standard wild. It substitutes for paying symbols on the 50 paylines, and it can arrive either as a normal symbol or out of a portal.

Cauldrons and coin prizes

Cauldrons spin to reveal a prize or a feature. The prizes are coins in four grades - bronze, silver, gold and crystal - with instant values ranging from 1x to 5,000x the total bet. One of the possible features is the Bronze Coin Knockout, which removes bronze coins from the pool so that only the higher grades can appear. That lifts the floor of what the coins on screen can pay.

Purple multipliers

Purple multiplier symbols carry values from 2x to 10x. Rather than applying on the spot, they are collected outside the reels, and the empty positions they leave respin. At the end of the sequence the total collected multiplier is applied to every coin on the screen.

Treasure chest collector

The treasure chest is a collector. When it appears it gathers the coin prizes on the board, and afterwards the cauldrons spin again.

Transform staff

The blue crystal staff is the transform symbol. When it lands, every position on its reel becomes a cauldron, which means a full reel of prize reveals in one go.

Free Games and Super Free Games

Free spins are triggered by three book scatters, or by two scatters plus a Super Scatter. The bonus comes in two versions, Free Games and Super Free Games. One listing gives the standard award as 8 free spins. According to a single source, cauldrons in the bonus can also add extra spins: +1, +2 or +3 in Free Games, and +2, +3 or +5 in Super Free Games. Check the game's own paytable.

Bonus buy and enhanced modes

Magic Stacks has a bonus buy and enhanced modes, including one marketed as Double Max. These are the only route to the 20,000x ceiling; normal play stops at 10,000x. Massive Studios' public material does not list the buy prices, so the cost has to be read from the buy menu in the game itself. Whether the buy and the enhanced modes are offered at all depends on the casino and on the rules of the jurisdiction you play from.

Volatility and who it suits

Volatility is rated high across every source. Coin prizes span 1x to 5,000x and depend on multipliers landing alongside them, so results vary widely. Magic Stacks suits players who enjoy reveal mechanics and can live with long quiet stretches.

Where to play Magic Stacks

Massive Studios is one of the Juice studios in the Easygo group, and its games are exclusive to Stake. Read our Stake review before you sign up: Stake operates under a Curaçao licence, so check that it is legal to play there from where you live.

The closest relative is Drac's Stacks, which uses the same reveal-and-collect idea with mirror symbols and vampire bats on the same 5x6, 50-line layout. For something that pays in groups instead of lines, Pyramid Scheme is the studio's other 2026 release. You can browse every title in our slot reviews.

Our verdict on Magic Stacks

Magic Stacks is a well-assembled feature slot. The portals keep the base game unpredictable, and the cauldron system - coins, a shared multiplier pool, a collector and a transform - gives the reveals a clear purpose. The RTP is published and the volatility is labelled honestly.

Two things hold it back. The 20,000x headline belongs to the enhanced modes and the bonus buy, not to normal play, and the buy prices are not published anywhere outside the game. Read the menu before you click.
