Elemental Ways review

Elemental Ways asks a little more of the player than most Twist Gaming titles, and gives more back. Behind the jungle-temple setting sits a layered respin system in which wilds spread into empty spaces, winning symbols hold their place and a single connection across the whole board can boost the multiplier. Stake's own introduction even shortens the name to Elemental Way, but the game is Elemental Ways.

It went live on Stake on 29 May 2026, with SlotCatalog listing 1 June. Juice's own games page listed $6.42M wagered across 4.9M bets over the 30 days to mid-October 2026.

Ruins, a temple and four elements

The setting is jungle ruins around a stone temple. Every symbol is an elemental creature from one of four elements, air, nature, water and fire, in small and large forms. The small creatures are the low symbols and all pay the same. The large ones form the high tier, with fire at the top.

The four-element structure is more than flavour. Because every symbol belongs to a clear family, it is easy to see which connection the respins are building towards.

How Elemental Ways plays

The grid is 6 reels by 4 rows. Stake calls the system Connect Ways: a win needs 3 or more matching symbols connecting across adjacent reels, starting from the left. SlotCatalog lists no ways count, so think of it as a ways-style game rather than one with a fixed number of lines.

The paytable is deliberately flat. At a 1.00 bet, every small creature pays 0.10, 0.20, 0.30 and 0.40 for 3, 4, 5 and 6 reels. Large air pays 0.20 to 1.50, large nature 0.30 to 2.00, large water 0.40 to 2.50 and large fire 0.50 to 3.00. Connections on their own are small; the Respin Phase is where the game earns its money. The published maths put the base-game hit rate at about 17%.

Elemental Ways features

Respin Phase

Any connected win starts the Respin Phase. If 4 or more bonus symbols are showing at that moment, the bonus count is collected first. On the respin board only paying symbols and wilds stay. Everything else turns into Void, and the Void spaces respin in hold-and-win style while the rest of the board holds. During this phase a global multiplier of 2x to 10x can be collected.

Reel Corruption

Before each respin, every wild converts into the symbol it contributed to and corrupts one random adjacent Void space, in any of eight directions. In practice, wilds spread the winning symbol outward and grow the connection one cell at a time. With Super Boost active, the corruption radius extends to 2 cells, which spreads the winning symbol much faster.

Convergence Multiplier

The first time a connection reaches across all 6 reels during the respins, the global multiplier is boosted. That full-width moment is the goal of every Respin Phase, and the point where a small win can turn into a significant one.

Free spins

Four or more bonus symbols award between 8 and 12 free spins. If those bonus symbols show on a spin that also starts a Respin Phase, the bonus count is collected first, as described above. Stake's page does not go into further detail on how the free spins differ from the base game, so check the in-game rules.

Bonus buy

Elemental Ways offers buy and boost options, including the Super Boost that widens Reel Corruption. The published prices disagree, though: Stake's game page and the game's published maths list different costs, and they may describe different builds. For that reason we do not list prices here. Check the buy menu inside the game at your casino, and remember that availability depends on the casino and your jurisdiction.

Volatility and who it suits

Stake and SlotCatalog both rate Elemental Ways as medium volatility. Because every connected win leads into the Respin Phase, the game has frequent moments of interest rather than long silences broken by one big feature. The max win of 15,000x is high for a medium-volatility game; the published maths put that event at about 1 in 3 million base spins.

It suits players who like to follow a mechanic as it develops, and those who want a strong RTP without the swings of the studio's high-volatility titles.

Elemental Ways is the thinking player's Twist Gaming slot. The Respin Phase gives almost every win a second act, Reel Corruption turns wilds into something that grows, and the Convergence Multiplier provides a clear target. Medium volatility, a 97.00% RTP and a 15,000x ceiling make it a well-balanced package.

The confusion over buy prices is a nuisance rather than a flaw in the game. Play responsibly: set a budget first and check the in-game menus before buying anything.
