Tongue Game

Tongue Game is Twist Gaming at its most inventive: a pay-anywhere grid where the real action is a hungry Tongue collecting cash babies, multiplier ghosts and an instant 20,000x MAX pod. Slice and Prize Bomb give the base game movement, and progressive collection gives the free spins a clear goal. It is high volatility with a long, costly buy menu, so budget carefully.

Tongue Game review

Something lives beneath the old village in Tongue Game, and the villagers have spent years keeping it fed. That is the set-up for the busiest release in the Twist Gaming catalogue: a dark-comedy horror slot in which a long, grasping tongue reaches across the grid and collects everything worth having. On Stake the game appears under the shorter name Tongue, but the studio and its catalogue call it Tongue Game.

It found an audience fast. Juice's own games page listed $31.62M wagered across 31.3M bets over the 30 days to mid-October 2026, the highest bet count of any Twist Gaming title, even though Stake gives its release date as 21 September 2026. Twist Gaming is one of the five Juice studios inside the Easygo group, and like its stablemates the game runs on Stake Engine and launched as a Stake exclusive.

Tongue Game at a glance
Tongue Game is a high-volatility scatter-pays slot: 8 or more matching symbols anywhere on the 30-position grid pay, and winners tumble away. RTP is 96.70% in every published mode and the max win is 20,000x the bet. The headline mechanic is Tongue Collect, which gathers cash babies and multiplier ghosts, backed by Slice, Prize Bombs and a MAX pod that pays the top prize instantly.

A village with a problem under the floorboards

The look is rural gothic played for laughs. The low-paying symbols are wooden props from village life: a sign, a bucket, a post, a wheel and a wheelbarrow. The high payers are the villagers themselves, each looking suitably glum about the arrangement: a farmer, a lady in green, a priest and, at the top of the paytable, the mayor. Whatever lives below is never far from the action, because its tongue is the symbol that drives almost every big result.

It is a sharper, odder concept than the gem-and-fruit grids it competes with, and the humour stays in the art rather than getting in the way of the maths.

How Tongue Game plays

Stake lists the grid as 5 reels by 6 rows, 30 positions in all. There are no paylines. Any 8 or more matching symbols anywhere on the board form a win, paid in bands of 8-9, 10-11, 12-14 and 15 or more. Winning symbols are removed and new ones tumble in from above, so a single paid spin can chain into several wins.

At a 1.00 bet, the sign and bucket pay 0.10 for 8-9 and 2.00 for 15 or more. The mayor pays 7 for 8-9, 15 for 10-11, 30 for 12-14 and 50 for 15 or more. The published maths tables put the base-game hit rate at about 16.8%, so roughly one spin in six pays something, and much of the value is pushed into the features.

Tongue Game features

Tongue Collect

The Tongue symbol is the engine of the game. When it lands, it collects from three kinds of baby symbol and pays out what it gathers:

  • Baby: a cash value from 0.20 to 10.00 at a 1.00 bet.
  • Mutated Baby: a much larger cash value, from 20.00 to 1,000.00.
  • Ghost Baby: a multiplier from 2x to 8x rather than cash.

Mutated babies are where the big base-game hits come from, while ghost babies turn a modest collection into something worth having.

Max Win Prize

A MAX pod can appear on the grid. If it lands near the Tongue, it awards the full 20,000x straight away. According to the published maths, the max-win event in the base game comes around once in roughly 4 million spins, so treat it as a ceiling, not a target.

Prize Bomb

A pregnant creature symbol can explode and scatter prizes and multipliers across the board. Those drops can include babies of every kind and even the MAX pod, so a Prize Bomb next to a Tongue is the moment to pay attention.

Slice

Slice clears every non-winning, non-special symbol from its row. The replacements tumble in, and the point is position: fresh symbols can land closer to the Tongue, giving it more to reach.

Free spins

Four or more Bonus symbols award 10 free spins, plus 2 more for each Bonus symbol beyond four. During the round Tongue Collect becomes progressive, so prizes keep building rather than paying off one at a time. When the round ends, everything collected is multiplied by the total multiplier gathered along the way. That end-of-round multiplication is what gives the feature its upside.

Bonus buy and boost menu

Where the casino and jurisdiction allow it, Tongue Game has one of the longest buy menus in the Juice catalogue. Stake lists these prices, and the published maths for each mode match them exactly:

  • FS Trigger Boost 1, 2 and 3: 5x, 10x and 25x per spin, raising the chance of free spins.
  • Feeding Frenzy 1, 2 and 3: 100x, 200x and 300x per spin.
  • Bonus: 500x for direct entry to free spins.
  • Max Win Boost 1, 2 and 3: 1,000x, 2,000x and 3,000x per spin.

The per-spin options are the ones to be careful with. A 100x or 1,000x charge on every spin burns through a balance far faster than the base game, whatever the theoretical return.

One RTP across every mode
Twist Gaming publishes Tongue Game at 96.70% RTP in all 11 modes of its fairness catalogue, so buying a feature does not change the theoretical return. Stake and Juice's own game data show the same figure. As always, confirm the RTP in the game's info screen at your casino.

Volatility and who it suits

Stake rates Tongue Game as high volatility, and the structure bears that out: about five base spins in six pay nothing, and the value sits in mutated babies, ghost multipliers and the free spins. It suits players who enjoy collection mechanics and can sit through quiet stretches. If you prefer steadier returns, the medium-volatility Bank Basher is the gentler option from the same studio.

Where to play Tongue Game

Tongue Game launched as a Stake exclusive, and our Stake review covers the site in detail. Stake is a Curaçao-licensed site, so check that it is legal where you live before you sign up. Juice opened its catalogue to other operators in September 2026, so availability elsewhere may change.

Our verdict on Tongue Game

Tongue Game earns its popularity. The pay-anywhere grid is familiar, but Tongue Collect, Slice and Prize Bombs give it a personality of its own, and the three baby types create a clear hierarchy of what you want to see. Free spins have a proper goal, with progressive collection and a final multiplier that can turn a quiet round around.

The flip side is volatility and price. Most base spins pay nothing, and the boost menu reaches 3,000x per spin. Play responsibly: set a deposit and loss limit before you start, and treat the MAX pod as the long shot it is.
