Review of Betinia

Betinia is an online casino and sportsbook run from Malta by Maltix Limited and licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority. Third-party sources date the brand to 2020. It combines a large slot lobby from more than 80 studios with a sportsbook that has its own promotions, and it offers two separate welcome bonuses: one for the casino and one for sports betting. This review covers the international site, betinia.com, and sets out what its terms actually say.

Who runs Betinia

According to section 2.1 of its terms and conditions (version 4.42), betinia.com is owned and operated by Maltix Limited, a Maltese company with registration number C 96904 and an office in Birkirkara. Section 2.2 names its licence: MGA/B2C/486/2018, issued by the Malta Gaming Authority on 20 December 2018. The MGA's public licensee register lists Maltix Limited under that number with a Type 1 and a Type 2 gaming licence and the status "Licensed".

Some sources name a different company, Denix Limited, in connection with Betinia. That entity appears to be linked to the Danish site, not the international one; the global site's terms and the MGA register both name Maltix Limited. The terms also mention a separate Irish licence from the Revenue Commissioners (number 1020269), which covers sports betting for Irish residents only. Third-party sites say the platform is supplied by Soft2Bet.

Casino games and providers

The game catalogue is large. Betinia's own game list returns 10,331 titles from 81 studios, although the number you can actually open will depend on your country. The biggest suppliers by number of games are Play'n GO and NetEnt, and the list also includes Pragmatic Play, Playtech, Quickspin, Red Tiger, Games Global, Novomatic, Nolimit City, Relax Gaming, Yggdrasil, ELK Studios, Hacksaw Gaming and Betsoft. That gives a good spread between classic high-volume studios and smaller specialists.

Slots dominate the lobby, with scratch cards, keno and table games alongside. Jackpot slots and bingo are in the catalogue but cannot be played with bonus funds, which is worth knowing before you take the welcome offer.

Live casino

Betinia has a live casino, and Evolution is among its suppliers, so you can expect the usual live roulette, blackjack, baccarat and game shows. For bonus players, live games count only 10% towards wagering, while the game shows Crazy Time, Dream Catcher and Monopoly count 50%. In practice, the casino bonus is built for slots, not for the live tables.

Sportsbook

The sportsbook is a full product, not an add-on. The site's configuration points to Altenar as the likely sportsbook supplier. According to the terms, you can cash out both before and during a match, and Bet Builder lets you combine markets from one event. The promotions page lists an Accumulator Boost, Boosted Odds, Bet Builder Insurance, Early Payout when your team goes two goals ahead, a Bore Draw offer, a Sport Jackpot, a weekly reload and a €100 cashback. The maximum win is €100,000 per day and per bet slip. Sports betting is barred in some countries where the casino is otherwise open, so check the terms for your country.

Welcome offers

New players choose a casino offer or a sports offer. Both are first-deposit bonuses, and neither needs a bonus code. Deposits made with Skrill or Neteller do not qualify for either.

Casino welcome bonus: 100% up to €500 + 200 free spins

The deposit and bonus together must be wagered 35 times, and free spin winnings 40 times, within 10 days of activation. The maximum bet while wagering is €5. Slots, scratch cards and keno count 100%, live games and video poker 10%, and table and card games 0%. You activate the bonus in Profile, then My Bonus, before you place any bet with the qualifying deposit, and a withdrawal request cancels it. Sports welcome bonus: 100% up to €100

• Match: 100% of your first deposit, up to €100. Minimum deposit €20.
• Qualifying step: bet the full deposit once at odds of 1.50 or higher; once those bets are settled, the bonus is credited automatically.

The deposit and bonus must then be wagered 6 times within 30 days of the first deposit. Singles need odds of 2.00 or higher, and accumulators need 1.50 or higher on every selection. Cash-out, system, free-bet and void bets do not count, nor do Boosted Odds or Enhanced Price bets, and only the first bet on an event counts, up to €50 per bet. Payments and withdrawals

Betinia's own pages do not publish a payment list. Third-party sources list around 27 deposit methods, including:

Those limits are on the low side for high-stakes players, so a large win may reach you in instalments.

Restricted countries

Section 3.1 of the terms lists a long set of restricted countries, including the United Kingdom, the United States, Denmark, Sweden, Australia, Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and Ontario in Canada. Sports betting is also barred in a few further places. The terms contradict themselves on Ireland: it is on the restricted list, yet another section covers Irish sports bettors under the Irish licence. Players in a country with its own licensing system should use a site licensed there; Betinia runs a separate locally licensed site for Danish players.

Our verdict

The trade-offs are the 35x wagering on deposit plus bonus with only 10 days to complete it, the 6x sports rollover at odds of 2.00 for singles, modest withdrawal limits at the lower loyalty tiers and a long list of restricted countries.
