Our verdict
Cloudbet Affiliates publishes clear terms, but its 25% default share comes with indefinite negative carryover, shared bonus costs, Bitcoin-only payouts and a Curaçao-only licence, so this page is informative rather than a recommendation.
Cloudbet Affiliates is the in-house affiliate programme of Cloudbet, a cryptocurrency casino and sportsbook that says it has been active since 2013. Affiliates earn a share of the net gaming revenue from the players they refer across the sportsbook, casino and live casino. The programme is active and open to new sign-ups in October 2026, and it also runs a separate creators programme for streamers and social media accounts.
Informative page only. igamingexplorer.com only promotes affiliate programmes whose brands hold a licence from the Malta Gaming Authority, the UK Gambling Commission, Gibraltar or the Isle of Man. Cloudbet is licensed in Curaçao, so this page describes the programme and its published terms without recommending it.
Background and ownership
The site is operated by Halcyon Super Holdings B.V., a company incorporated in Curaçao with company number 148526. Some payment methods are handled by its wholly owned subsidiary Solas Technologies Limited in Limassol, Cyprus. The affiliate terms name the same company as the contracting party, although they give its address as Boulevard 50 while the site footer says Boulevard 03.
Cloudbet’s licensing has changed with Curaçao’s reform of its gambling law. According to CryptoSlate’s company profile, Cloudbet spent most of its first decade under Curaçao’s old sublicence system and for several years also cited a Montenegro licence. Under the new National Ordinance on Games of Chance, Halcyon Super Holdings B.V. now holds a direct licence from the Curaçao Gaming Authority. The Curaçao Gaming Authority certificate for cloudbet.com confirms licence number OGL/2024/328/0599, granted on 23 May 2025, with the status “Active” when checked on 15 October 2026.
The affiliate FAQ says the affiliate terms were last updated on 9 October 2023. The agreement is governed by the laws of England, with disputes heard in English courts, even though the operator is based in Curaçao.
Brands, markets and licences
Cloudbet Affiliates covers a single brand. The table sets out what the operator and the Curaçao regulator publish:
| Brand | Products | Operator | Licence |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cloudbet | Sportsbook, in-play betting, esports, casino, live casino | Halcyon Super Holdings B.V., Curaçao | Curaçao Gaming Authority, OGL/2024/328/0599 (active) |
We found no licence for Cloudbet from the Malta Gaming Authority, the UK Gambling Commission, Gibraltar or the Isle of Man, and both the site footer and the regulator’s certificate refer only to Curaçao. The affiliate terms say Cloudbet “largely accepts global customers”, except in the restricted jurisdictions listed in its player terms.
According to Cloudbet’s player terms, players may not use the site while located in Australia, Austria, Belgium, China (including Macau and Hong Kong), Curaçao, Cuba, France, Germany, Iran, Japan, Lithuania, Malta, Myanmar, the Netherlands, North Korea, Singapore, Syria, Spain, Turkey, the USA and its territories, the United Kingdom, or the Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine. The same terms make players responsible for checking that online gambling is lawful where they are.
One point worth checking: a testimonial on the programme’s own homepage describes Germany as a strong market, yet Germany is on the current restricted list. Ask your affiliate manager which countries your traffic may come from before you start.
Commission models
The programme is revenue share only. The terms say remuneration “is calculated based on revenue share”, and we found no published CPA or hybrid deal. The rate depends on whether Cloudbet classes you as active:
| Term | What the programme publishes |
|---|---|
| Default rate | Tier 2: 25% of net gaming revenue, set automatically when you join |
| Inactive rate | Tier 1: 10% if you refer no new first-time depositor in the preceding three months |
| Revenue base | Net gaming revenue: gross gaming revenue less transaction and administrative fees, bonuses, loyalty rewards and game supplier costs |
| Negative carryover | Yes; negative balances roll over indefinitely until your balance is positive |
| Sub-affiliates | 5% of the commission of affiliates you refer, by default |
| Earnings cap | None, according to the FAQ |
The deductions deserve a close read, because they move a large share of retention costs onto the affiliate. The terms state that you “bear and/or share” the cost of all incentives and loyalty rewards given to your players, including welcome bonuses, free spins and free bets, turnover-based bonuses, contests and custom rewards. Specifically:
- Welcome bonus: deducted at your commission percentage when the bonus is realised or rolled over.
- Retention: rakeback, cash drops and rolled-over bonuses are deducted from gross gaming revenue.
- Lightning Points: 1 EUR cent is deducted for every point awarded to a player.
- VIP cashback: 100% of any cashback is deducted from your revenue share. The terms’ own example shows a 25% share of 10,000 EUR net gaming revenue (2,500 EUR) reduced to 2,250 EUR by a 250 EUR cashback.
Revenue share is credited or debited in real time as each bet settles, so a player’s large win shows up in your balance immediately. Combined with indefinite negative carryover, a single winning high roller can wipe out several months of earnings.
Platform, tracking and payments
Cloudbet runs its own affiliate portal with a URL builder for extra tracking parameters, a media library with HTML5 banners, and landing pages for sports, casino and bonus offers in several languages, including English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese and Japanese. Each affiliate gets a personal manager.
| Term | Cloudbet Affiliates |
|---|---|
| Tracking | Sign-ups and first-time depositors only; clicks and impressions are not tracked in the portal |
| Cookie | 30 days, last-click attribution |
| Payout currency | Bitcoin only (the terms allow another cryptocurrency at Cloudbet’s discretion) |
| Withdrawals | Once a month on request; most processed immediately, up to 48 hours |
| Minimum | 0.0001 BTC |
| First payment | Requires at least 5 active customers within three months of joining |
If you do not reach the five-customer threshold, the account may be closed at Cloudbet’s discretion, and what counts as an “active” customer with a “consistent pattern” of bets is decided by Cloudbet. Where fraud is suspected, payment can be delayed indefinitely during an investigation. Either side can end the agreement at will, including by email, and Cloudbet can change the terms at any time without prior notice. Bidding on “Cloudbet” and related brand terms in search advertising is prohibited.
Because commission is paid in Bitcoin, the value of what you earn moves with the crypto market between the month it is generated and the day you withdraw it, and you will need to handle the accounting and tax treatment of crypto income where you are based.
Compliance and responsible marketing
Great Britain: under section 330 of the Gambling Act 2005 it is an offence to advertise unlawful gambling, punishable by up to 51 weeks’ imprisonment, a fine or both. Gambling offered to British consumers without a Gambling Commission licence would generally fall into that category, so content aimed at a British audience should not promote Cloudbet.
Restricted countries: sending players from countries on Cloudbet’s restricted list breaches the operator’s own terms and, in many of those countries, local gambling law.
Your own site: the affiliate terms make you solely responsible for your content and allow Cloudbet to end the agreement if your site is aimed at children or breaches advertising rules or codes of practice.

Our assessment
Cloudbet Affiliates is more transparent than many crypto programmes: the default rate, the inactivity rule, the deductions and the payout mechanics are all set out in the published terms, with a worked example. For publishers with crypto-native audiences in markets Cloudbet accepts, that clarity makes the economics easy to model.
The economics themselves lean towards the operator. The revenue base is reduced by bonuses, loyalty rewards, supplier costs and the full cost of VIP cashback; negative balances roll over without limit; the rate falls to 10% if you pause acquisition; and the operator can change the terms without notice. Above all, the brand is licensed only in Curaçao and excludes the UK, the USA and several large EU markets, which is why igamingexplorer.com does not recommend the programme.
If you are weighing programmes whose brands hold MGA or UKGC licences, compare LeoVegas Affiliates, ComeOn Connect and 2RBO Affiliates, or browse our affiliate programme directory.
